Philosophy of Kingdom Education

At Beauty From Ashes Youth Leadership Academy, our philosophy of education is rooted in the belief that true learning transforms the mind, body, and soul. We exist to glorify God by shaping young women into leaders who embrace their identity in Christ, pursue academic excellence, and faithfully use their gifts and talents to serve Him.

We embrace Kingdom education—a Bible-based, Christ-centered process of bringing a child to Christ, building her up in Christ, and equipping her to serve Christ so she may impact the world for God’s glory (Colossians 1:28-29). This conviction rests on the truth that all truth is God’s truth, and that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). God created and sustains all things; therefore, the universe and humanity exist to glorify Him (Colossians 1:16-17).

Because man is a sinner by nature and choice, he cannot glorify or know God apart from salvation through Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23). Only by receiving God’s free gift of salvation and surrendering to the Lordship of Christ can a person truly live for His glory (John 14:6).

This philosophy is lived out daily as Scripture is woven into every subject, worship and prayer form the rhythm of school life, and service opportunities teach students to put their faith into action. Teachers model Christ-like character, parents partner with the school in discipleship, and students are encouraged to grow not only in knowledge but also in wisdom, integrity, and love. In this way, education at Beauty From Ashes is holistic—nurturing transformation in mind, body, and soul for the glory of God.

We believe education must address the whole person—spiritual, intellectual, physical, social, and emotional—because these areas are inseparable and held together by the spiritual. (Luke 2:52) At Beauty From Ashes, every subject, activity, and relationship is permeated by biblical truth. The “scarlet thread” of the gospel is intentionally woven through all we teach, so that Christ is exalted in both academics and character formation. (Romans 12:2)

We recognize parents as the primary disciples of their children and commit to partnering with them in prayer, communication, and discipleship. Together we create consistency between home, church, and school. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)

Spiritual formation is not an add-on; it is the heartbeat of everything we do.

  • Students experience daily devotionals, Scripture woven into every subject, chapel worship, service opportunities, and discipleship. (Psalm 119:105)
  • Staff are equipped through prayer, accountability, and modeling Christ-like character in word and deed. (1 Corinthians 11:1)
  • Parents are supported with prayer circles, resources, and workshops that align the home and school in faith formation.

Every subject is taught through the lens of God’s truth. Math reflects His order, science His design, history His sovereignty, and literature His beauty and creativity. Students are trained to think critically, engage culture with discernment, and stand firm in their faith while extending grace and love. (1 Peter 3:15)

Teachers are trained to integrate biblical worldview naturally, address cultural challenges with wisdom, and mentor students in faith and character. Parents are equipped as the primary influencers in their child’s discipleship, ensuring that biblical values are reinforced at home and in the classroom.

We are unapologetically Christ-centered. The Bible is our final authority for faith and life, and we affirm the historic truths of the Christian faith. (John 17:17) This conviction shapes our practices, policies, and communication. We pray daily, worship together, hold one another accountable, and set expectations rooted in dignity, holiness, respect, and love. (Micah 6:8)

Beauty From Ashes Christian Academy is more than a school—it is a Christ-centered community of faith and leadership. We restore girls in identity, strengthen them in purpose, and equip them to live as “oaks of righteousness” for His glory. (Isaiah 61:3) Our graduates not only excel academically but also live boldly as Christ’s witnesses, ready to impact their homes, communities, and the world. (Acts 1:8)

Statement Of Faith

  • The Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
We believe that there is one God eternally existence in three persons: God the Father, the Word (Son), and the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit). (1 John. 5:7-8)
  • The Holy Bible — God’s Inspired Word
We believe the Holy Bible to be the inspired and only infallible Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16)
  • Salvation Through Jesus Christ
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith (Ephesians. 2:8-9), believing and confessing in the Lord Jesus and His resurrection (Romans. 10:9-10). That one must repent of his sins (Luke 13:3) calling on the name of the Lord (Romans 10:13)
  • The Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit has come into the world to reveal and glorify Christ and apply the saving work of Christ to people. He convicts sinners of their need for Christ, baptizes them into the Body of Christ, imparts new life to them, imparts spiritual gifts to them, indwells them, and seals them until the day of redemption. Each believer is called to live in the power of the indwelling Spirit and in so doing, his faith will be manifested in works pleasing to God (John 16:5-14; 1 Thessalonians 1:5; Matthew 3:11; Galatians 5:22; Mark 1:8; 2 Corinthians 1:22; Eph. 1:13; 1 Corinthians 12:1-7; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 5:8-21; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 2 Corinthians
  • The Fellowship of Believers
We believe that God admonishes His people to assemble together regularly in a local Church for worship, for participation in ordinances, for evangelism, for edification through the Scriptures, and for mutual encouragement (Hebrews 10:25).
  • God’s Ordained Authorities
We believe that God has ordained and created all authority consisting of three basic institutions:
    1) the home, 2) the Church, and 3) the state. Every person is subject to these authorities, but all (including the authorities themselves) are answerable to God and governed by His Word. God has given each institution specific biblical responsibilities and balanced those responsibilities with the understanding that no institution has the right to infringe upon the other. The home, the Church, and the state are equal and sovereign in their respective biblically assigned spheres of responsibility under God. (Romans 13:1-7; Ephesians 5:22-24; Hebrews 13:17; 1 Peter 2:13-14)
  • God’s Design for Marriage and Sexuality
We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex. We believe that God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one’s gender by surgery or appearance (Genesis 2:24; 19:4-7, 13; Leviticus 18:1-30; Romans 1: 26-29; 1 Corinthians 5:1; 6:9-10; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8; Hebrews 13:4). We believe that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:24; Romans 7:2; 1 Corinthians 7:10; Ephesians 5:22-23)
  • God’s Design for the Family
We believe that men and women are spiritually equal in position before God, but that God has ordained distinct and separate functions for men and women in the home and the Church. The husband is to be the leader of the home, and women are to be the helpmate to glorify God by establishing a Godly household. We believe that God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. The husband is to love his wife as Christ loves the Church. The wife is to submit herself to the scriptural leadership of her husband as the Church submits to the headship of Christ. Children are a heritage from the Lord. Parents are responsible for teaching their children spiritual and moral values and leading them, through consistent lifestyle example and appropriate discipline (Genesis 1:26-28; Exodus 20:12; Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Psalm 127:3-5; Proverbs 19:18; 22:15; 23:13-14; Mark 10:6-12; 1 Corinthians 7:1-16; Ephesians 5:21-33; 6:1-4, Colossians 3:18-21; 1 Peter 3:1-7).
  • Healing and Deliverance Through Christ’s Redemptive Work
We believe that the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross, faith in Him, asking in prayer, believing, and anointing with oil, provides healing and deliverance. We also believe that by His stripes we were/are spiritually healed, and that there is physical healing of our temple per (James 5:13-16 and Mark 16:18) - laying hands on the sick and also through the gifts of healing. (1 Corinthians 12:9)
  • The Sanctity of Human Life
We believe that human life begins at conception and that the unborn child is a living human being.
Abortion constitutes the unjustifiable taking of innocent human life. We reject any teaching that abortions of pregnancies due to rape, incest, birth defects, gender selection, birth or population control, or the mental well-being of the mother are acceptable. (Job 3:16; Psalm 139:14-16; Isaiah 44:24; 49:1, 5; Jeremiah 1:5; Luke 1:44).
  • Baptism of the Holy Ghost & Spiritual Gifts
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, which is given to believers who seek God for it. We believe in the acts of Pentecost and speaking in other and unknown tongues. We believe in what occurred in Acts 2 on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Ghost (Spirit) filled all that were gathered and they all spoke with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Further, we fully accept the teachings of 1 Corinthians 12:10 and all Biblical teachings referencing the gifts of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:8, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 5:32, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 19:1-12)
  • Sanctification and Holy Living
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost by whose indwelling the Saints are enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world. (Ezekiel 36:27, Romans 15:16, Hebrews 10:10, 1 Peter 1:2)
  • Gifts of the Holy Ghost for Today
We believe in the teaching and administration of the Gospels and that all the gifts of the Holy Ghost are operative today. (Hebrews 13:8, 1 Corinthians 12)
  • The Blessed Hope & End-Time Doctrine
We believe in the blessed hope, which is the rapture of the Church upon Jesus Christ's return. We also believe the Holy Bible’s teachings on eschatology – end time doctrine (heaven and hell). (1Thessolonians 4:13-17, Titus. 2:13, Revelation 1, 20, 21 & 22)
Litchfield Christian School has been such a beautiful blessing to our family. LCS is a Christ-centered school that challenges students academically, nurtures their creativity, promotes a positive learning environment, and contributes to their spiritual growth. LCS is very supportive, and they encourage their students and their families. Our daughter came into LCS completely broken and empty. Public school had taken a drastic toll on her mental health. She had pleaded with us for over a year to homeschool her. We were at a loss. Our daughter is a very social person, and we knew she needed more. We decided to check out LCS as an alternative. From the very moment we stepped inside LCS, we could see and feel the genuine love. EVERYONE felt as if they belonged. Before our day of observing was over, she had asked if she could please come to LCS. She was smiling and said this place is my kind of place. It's definitely been just that!

Today she is thriving, and she is truly enjoying herself. She loves to go to school, and she loves all of the teachers. She has made good friends and is blossoming in all areas of life. She's even started singing on stage during chapel. This has been the best decision we could have ever made as parents for our daughter. We are incredibly thankful for this opportunity in our hometown, and we truly appreciate that LCS offers grades K-12. How blessed we are to be a part of Litchfield Christian School. We look forward to many more amazing years here.
